Munich Christmas Markets (November 2025): Outbound Flight

We usually run a blog when we're away and Elizabeth particularly likes them as they become a sort of free online photo album.

Apologies that the images can appear to be in a random order. Blogger software isn't always an exact science and I have found over the years that some aspects of blogging using this software get better while others can go downhill.

We're flying from Manchester as follows -

Terminal 2, departure time: 0625

Arrival time 0925 (two hours' flying time plus one hour time difference). Lufthansa flight number: VL2507

A 6.30am flight from Manchester meant we were all up and out of Sarah and Chris's house by 02:30 and on our way.

We had a trouble-free journey and parked in our favourite Terminal 2 multi-storey car park. Security was a breeze - no need to remove anything from our bags, nor remove our boots (except for Sarah and her Doc Marten's).

We had breakfast in 'Giraffe' and then headed to the gate. We were all on board and ready to go around 25 minutes early and off we went, leaving a very wet Manchester behind.

The Lufthansa City Flight was excellent - we were given water and a small Lindt chocolate bar on board - what's not to like?

As we had been about to taxi away from the stand, the pilot had announced that the weather was clear in Munich with an overnight temperature of -12C! By the time we got outside the airport terminal it had risen to -6C and it finally got to freezing point later in the day. But it was a lovely dry cold, not the damp cold we tend to get at home.
